The staff, pupils and parents of Scoil an Linbh Iosa were delighted to welcome: His worship, the Mayor of the city of Galway, Mr. Frank Fahy, Sergeant John Ainsworth and Councillor Niall Mc Nelis to our school on Wednesday, 13th January. Sergeant John Ainsworth held a wonderful Questions & Answers session with the pupils of Scoil an Linbh Iosa. He presented Our National Flag to representatives from our Junior Infant Classes: Ryan & Caoimhe. Our Senior pupil, Aoibhe Mulryan read Paragraph 4 from the Proclamation and was presented with the 1916 Proclamation for our school. All pupils, staff and parents in the hall sang with great gusto: 'Amhran na bhFiann.We were very grateful to our special visitors for visiting all of our classrooms and joining us for break in our Staff Room.
