We have had a very busy week to celebrate and participate in World
Book Week. Rooms 14 and 12 visited 'Dubray Book Store.' Mary read 'Tiger
Lily' to Room 14 and Gary read rhymes by Roald Dahl to Room12. Our
infants were entertained by Olivia in 'Charlie Byrnes' Bookshop who read
a selection of books and gave them all a lollipop for being such good
listeners. Our first, second, fifth and sixth classes visited 'Easons.'
Here, they met Chris Judge who read his book 'The Great Explorer.' Then,
he helped the children draw the explorer, it was brilliant! The
children also received a marvellous 'Goody Bag' from Easons. We thank
all of our local bookshops for a wonderful experience.
In school, we held a whole-school 'READ-IN' in the hall where everyone read their favourite book for World Book Week.
