February 10th 2010Well done to all the pupils, parents and children who took part in our first WOW Day ( Walk on Wednesday). As part of our new Green Schools Travel initiative 70 pupils and 20 parents met at our designated Park and Stride location at the Galway Shopping Centre (Tesco) car park and walked to school. It was great fun so if you missed it, come along next Wednesday!
Room 5 and Room 16 are the winners of the Golden Boot Award this month with 91% of both classes walking to school.
WOW is part of An Taisce’s Green Schools travel programme which aims to increase the number of pupils, parents and teachers walking, cycling, car pooling and using public transport as an alternative to using the car on the school run.
